Stallion Flyers

The right advertising materials can accelerate your stallion's career, or leave him behind like yesterday's news.  It can take up to a minimum of twelve exposures for a customer to recognize your horse and your brand and you can no longer rely solely on one media channel, such as print advertisements, to effectively advertise and market your horse.  A crisp and professional layout will help you achieve maximum exposure for you and your horse among both print and digital media channels.  Stallion flyer services include a 300 dpi, high resolution CMYK print file sized to your preferred publication's specifications, a 300 dpi high resolution RGB digital file for your website or other online sites where high resolution files are a necessity, and a 72 dpi low resolution file for Facebook use and other web use.  We also create custom Facebook banners and timeline covers, custom headers for websites, business cards, brochures, banners, stallion cards, and just about any other kind of promotional material you need.

What You Need To Send To Have Your Flyer Made

In order to create the highest quality flyer, I’m going to need a few things from you. Please read carefully and be sure to follow instructions so that your flyer design can be designed quickly, and efficiently. Everything listed below should be sent to me in an email to

  1. Photos: High resolution, 300 DPI photos are required. You may choose to have your photos taken by a professional photographer. If you go this route, please make sure you order the ad release so that the photo may be used in advertising. A web released photo is NOT ACCEPTABLE and is illegal for me to use per the photographer. The photo must either have the full release, or a one-time ad use release. Cell phone photos are too low in resolution to use in a flyer design. Please do not send photos that you right clicked and saved from the web, Instagram, Facebook, or any other site as the resolution will be too low to use. Please do not send photos through Facebook messenger. I realize this is an easy means of communication, however, Facebook and Facebook messenger compress the resolution of the photo and render it too low in resolution for me to use.

  2. Logos: Please make sure your farm, ranch, stallion, or name logos are in PNG format with a transparent background. Do not send a JPEG logo. It will have a background around it and look tacky on your flyer. If you do not have a logo and need one, I will be happy to design one for you. Logos are $250.

  3. Horse Information: Please be sure you send all info pertaining to the horse you are advertising. This includes, but is not limited to, pedigree, year foaled, sex, height, 5-Panel status, color panel (if you have it), LTE, PE, show record, sire record, produce record, futurities and other programs the horse is nominated to or eligible for, location, owner name, phone number and email (street address optional), if a stallion, where the horse is standing and contact info for the facility he is standing, stud fee, shipping and collection fees, booking fees, chute fees, early booking incentives, sale prices, etc.

  4. Your Contact Info: Please be sure to include your name, address, phone number, email, and website address (if you have one).

  5. Publication the Flyer Will Be Printed In: If you are planning to put your flyer in a magazine, please let me know which magazine you are putting the flyer in, and send over the advertising specs for the layout so that I size your flyer correctly for the publication. I will not be responsible for a flyer sized incorrectly if you do not supply me with the proper ad specs. The Equine Chronicle, The APHA Journal, The AQHA Journal, The NRHA Reiner… all have different specs so please specify!

Creating Effective Print and Digital Ads

The above galleries are not an exhaustive portfolio of our graphic design work, but as you can see, we try to keep the focus on the horse and the brand.  Stallion Flyers too busy with text and multiple images are less effective and have less of an impact on short term memory.  The human brain can only process seven to ten pieces of information at a time and commit those pieces of information to short term memory.  Your flyers will stay in the minds of your customers longer the cleaner and simpler the layout.
